The solar system revolves around the sun (Sol) which in turn revolves around the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, which in turn also is moving through the Universe. We're about 3/4 of the way out on one of the Milky Way Galaxy's spiral arms.
Yes. All the parts are moving, all at the same time but not at the same velocities.

I agree. Our solar system is in orbit around the galaxy and our galaxy is being sucked toward the Andromeda galaxy. So any mention of time travel MUST also include space travel. This is why I thought the "Back to the Future" movies were good because they used a moving vehicle (a fusion powered DeLaurien) in order to accomplish time travel.

I am not sure what exactly you mean by time travel??
We can never go back in time. Time can only move forward. Whether universe collapses or galaxies move in reverse in direction that cannot have impact on the direction of time. Time can only go forward never backward. It is like curds from milk curd cannot be reverted back to milk.
How can traveling faster than light will make you go backwards? If you travel at light speed you will reach proxima centauri in about 4 years. If you travel twice the speed of light you will reach there in about 2 years. Did you go backwards in time? All I can say is you traveled faster than light but where is going backwards.
Also in this universe we may never reach the same spot again. It is because everything is moving including galaxies. Even if we reach same spot again it will take million or billion of years but I doubt it is possible to reach the same spot again. It is possible if center of milky way galaxy remains in the same area but I suppose even it also rotates around something.

Yes, the movement of our planet around the Sun, the Sun around the galaxy, and even the galaxy itself adds up to about 600 kilometers per second. But time travel sort of implies travel faster than light, so part of setting up your path into the past would be aiming at the proper landing site, and if you are already traveling faster than light anyway, what's a little more navigation to get to the right spot?

Our Solar System does indeed orbit the nucleus of the galaxy. We are about 3/4 the radius of the galaxy away fron the nucleus (center) and it takes us about 226 million years to complete an orbit.
This doesn't erally have anything to do with going back in time, other than the fact if you did go back in time you'd also have to travers space.
Our galaxy isn't stationary either....at least as far as we know.
In fact, we cannot claim any one object in space to be stationary as we have nothing to gauge it against.

Solar system orbits around the galaxy. The orbit takes a long time to repeat. Neverthless it will be in same position once every orbit.
But that does neither disprove nor support time travel.
Overall time travel is wishful thinking never can be done.

Yes, our solar system is constantly flying away from a central point.
However, it is thought that gravity should eventually counter the effects of the universes current impulse. At this point, the universe will start coming back together.

i don't know about that, but i do have a comment on the whole time travel thing.
theoretically, traveling into the future is possible, but right now, human technology isn't enough to make it so. there was this atomic clock on board the fastest human made thing right now and it flew around the earth. anyways, the atomic clock on board was a billionth of a second faster than the atomic clock that never left the ground. but it's a bummer, cuz time can't go backwards, and only the people aboard would be ahead in time. so...

You are right. We couldn't move the solar system back in time except at the planetarium, but in order to go back in time, we must be able to travel faster than the speed of light. At the speed of light, you would gain 12 seconds of life in a hundred years. I read this back in my high school days.
Since anything having mass must go slower than light speed, warp drive such as in Star Trek is not possible. If you believe in the space-time continuum, you can move in either direction and you could even go to another universe; even multidudes of other universes, but you couldn't go faster than the speed of light, and even at light speed, it could take you billions of years to reach some of the stars and planets that are out there.
The first link is that of a brilliant physicist named Michio Kaku. He is famous for the Theory Of Everything, String
Theories, and multiple universes.

yes we are moving but its linear our deep space telescopes do look back at the time of our universe in reverse, its past. but ive always believed in spherical theory, like an onion there's the big bang at the center and each yr is another thin layer of time. for some they see the entirety of the onion "time as it is now".
for others we see time in its many layers clearly. i believe in time being co-existent as well. big bang to 2nd coming is all in one right now.
it is how some see the future get deja vu, glimpses, insights etc. why we also feel at times we've been here done that lived in another time as another persona. not pickn on you but some want to argue we cant go into the future bc it hasn't happened yet. therefore only into the past. if that's true id argue we couldn't go backward bc we'd be their future. if we can travel back to their existence they surely can travel to ours in our present time their future. i don't believe in past present or future. I believe in past present and future all inclusive coexisting. i do and have always believed in total coexistence as God is everywhere always in all ways. past present and future have no meaning to immortal beings, which our souls are in Him
string theory also shows how the entire fabric of space and time continuum is one ( in many, like strings of a violin) so we can travel and go back to the very beginning if we are able to create dampers to protect our physical bodies from inertia. or, we overcome our physical body to be able to use our mind as we are intended to fully do so.
