Check out Jack Van Impe. He gets on TV and tells everyone that the end times are here and who is who accordinfg to Revelations. Christian fundamentalists are as bad any the Islamic fundamentalists. They all want the prophesies to come true...and they very well might come true, not because the prophet was really seeing the future, but that present day nuts are fulfilling the prophesy by the actions and words. they want the world to be destroyed, because that means that Christ is here and they get to go to Heaven...sounds like the 97 virgins deal given to suicide bombers or the nuts that drank the poison so that the mother ship could pick up their souls as the comet went by because their bodies wouldn't fit in the space ship. There is only one thing for certain: if you are born, you have a chance to live, maybe you will find love and have children and teach them to be decent people...then you get old and die...not a bad gig...there are lots of good things in the "in between" very fulfilling...why do people want something that probably isn't even real. No one on Earth has all the answers, maybe the Pope or the Dali Lama have a good idea of what the answers are, but they are human too....I'll just try to keep my kid safe and out of the war. But he thinks the military is cool...I don't want a son dead in Asia....What did the President think would happen with 250 thousand troops in Asia...that the nuts over there would be scared? they want the Final Battle too.

So long as anyone wants to initiate force against another for any reason there will not be peace. This includes forcing someone to give up their hard earned money (taxes), forcing someone to not put certain things in their bodies (drug laws), forcing someone to live by the ways of your religion, etc.

Yes, the only way to attain world peace would be to eradicate all religions. Christianity Judiasm and Islam should be the first to go. Israel and Lebanon are going to start WWIII over nothing.
