I did that experiment for science class when I was in elementary. I put one hand in hot water, the other in cold water. Kept them there for a few seconds, then put them both in the warm water. The hand that was in the hot water will feel cold and the hand that was in the cold water will feel hot. This is because of the sudden change of temperature.

cold water drops the tempeture of your hand, the hot water heats it up. and warm water doesn't change your tempetures.

your temp and circulation changes (and you get wet!!)
