Bad and annoying as a director, especially as an "actor". I hate every movie he's ever been involved with. I know he directed a scene in Sin City, which I really liked. I'm sure that whatever part I hated, he had something to do with it.

As actor he is ok, he was pretty good in Reseivor Dogs, and as a director very talented, specially the scripts he writes, like the car scene between Travolta and Jackson in Pulp Fiction.
