I agree! I think people need to focus more on their own lifes instead of always looking into their favorite celebs life... the celebrities don't even know who they are!! I agree with you 100%!

I think it's kind of pathetic that people get so obsessed with someone they see on a screen. Most celebrities have lost all touch with reality and don't have a clue what is going on in the real world. And yet there are millions of young people out there worshipping the ground they walk on.
It bothers me alot that girls get so obsessed with an actress they see on screen and start the eating disorders to look like them. These stars are plastic people. FAKES. And now most every part of their bodies are fake too.
Sure, there are a few really good stars out there that try to live normal lives and don't want to be bothered with the paparazi, those are the only ones that I have any respect for. Look at Britany Spears.....she was on Dateline a couple of weeks ago crying to the camera that the paparazi is bothering her all the time. The next week she's on the cover of Harpers Bazaar posing nude while she's pregnant. Give me a break.
Have a good night

It really depends. If someone thinks that a certain celebrity is a good role model & they like her or something, then that's cool. But if someone lives for celebs, then that's just messed up. Get a life. Celebs are normal ppl with not-so-normal lives. Get over it! I lyk reading teen magazines for fun every once in a while, but they're not a big part of my life!

Yeah, I think some people take it a little far. I used to work with a woman that had subscriptions to five different celebrity magazines. She would come into work and if you asked her how she was, she would start to recite these huge lists stupid cleb news. I didn't ask how Britney and Kevin's marriage was doing or what Madonna wore to the gym or where celebs hang out. It drove me crazy.

Yeah, it really is insane. It bothers me that we know so much more about celebrities and the little secrets in their lives, which are often blown way out of proportion by the media, (to the point where they are lies,) whereas we often know/care so little about the people who should matter most (friends and relatives). It's scary how some people cling so much to every detail they can dig up on Lindsay Lohan or Paris Hilton. (Not saying that there's anything wrong with these celebrities, just that people need to get their priorites straight.)

I do. A lot of people get really obsessed with lindsay lohan, nicole richie, etc. Avril Lavigne has got to be the most obsessed-about celebrity alive (although I don't blame them much) but obsessions are useless...they suck...please stop people...

You know, I was thinking that the other day as I rewound "Horseplayer" starring Brad Dourif and logged into dourif.net ...
hee hee.
And in answer to Meana - what's retarted (sic) about being obsessed with ordinary people, either? It's perfectly normal.
