Seems like there are two separate masses going into the bra as well, but we don't say "a pair of bras". Why not? Is this more proof that women have some kind of agenda, outside of cooking cleaning, and child rearing?

Could it be that "pants" came from the word pantaloons? If I am not mistaken there were two of them, one for each leg.

The bra, created by a man, by the way, was initially created as a single item.
