Ahh, such a hard question! But I love that you're asking it - people now seem to get the OBC confused with the movie cast, which really sucks for Fredi Walker and Daphne Rubin-Vega, the original Joanne and Mimi.
I really adore all the members, but I think Daphne is my favorite. Not only is she gorgeous and really talented, but she's such a sweet person. I used to be a really huge fan of hers, and she was so very nice to me when I met her at her concerts and when she was in Rocky Horror on Broadway. She also has some really cool solo songs and I'm really excited to hear her new CD that's coming out soon.
I also realllly love Anthony Rapp. Again, I love his solo stuff and I think he's really outspoken as a gay man and that's awesome. He was also really nice to me when I met him, and he was AMAZING when I saw him in Hedwig and the Angry Inch - it was SUCH a different role than Mark and he was so great. Plus, he seems to be the one who most identifies with Rent and really seems to love it - its always really obvious how much Rent means to him whenever he is interviewed or anything. And I loved his book!
I also love Idina, because of her solo album Still I Can't Be Still, which I love, and Jesse L. Martin because he is so talented and just seems like a really fun person, and... gah, everyone else. Even the smaller roled people are awesome - people like Kristen Lee Kelly, who played Mark's Mom, and Aiko Nakason, who played Alexi Darling.
The only person I'm NOT a huge fan of is... Adam Pascal. I'm sorry! When I saw him after Aida [twice], both times he was not very nice to his fans. The second time he didn't even come out to the stage door, which I can sort of understand [he must get sick of meeting fan after fan], but the first time I saw the show, he came out with the rest of the cast and was downright rude to fans. I used to LOVE him and just idolize him, but I was really upset with how he acted - he seemed to think he was a much bigger star than he actually was, you know? Plus I didn't really like his acting in the Rent movie. Gah, I'm sorry, I don't mean to bash on Adam!
I really do love all the OBC members, even Adam. They're all so talented and the show wouldn't be the same if even one of them hadn't been in it. Sorry this got so long, I was so excited someone asked about Rent!
