Just remember to remove the fish first, OK?

Hot water is what the instructions say, so use hot water. You know those green things in the sponge section at the supermarket, that are rough and scratchy and you use them on pots and pans, but they don't scratch up glass? One of those and hot water.

Hot tap water is fine, but when the bowl is filled up again add the stuff to make the water betta okay. Boiling would just take up time u dont need to boil the water your betta will be okay if u but the betta water solution in.

REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR FISH OUT AND PUT IT IN A TANK OR BIG BOWL!!

Umm... Either one is good. I would perfer boiled water. But first, get some anti-bacatierial soap and put it on a sponge. Then rinse the water bowl and start scrubbing the bowl. After 30 seconds of scrubbing, rinse it CLEAN with HOT BOILED WATER for about 1 1/2 minutes. After rinsing it, rinse it again for 10 seconds. Then wiped it with a clean towel and put normal water into the bowl and put your fish back in!

I'm not sure if you should be using hot/boiled water at all. I usually use room tempurature tap water to clean my betta's tank.
