There is reason to believe that IRAQ is hacking the us military computers. The US fears that military chatting back home with family and friends could easily leak out sensative information that IRAQ is looking for. so for everyones safety untill further notice yahoo messenger has been shut down.

That is so ridiculous! So Bush thinks that yahoo messenger is Iraq's source in getting their information? This is one of the only few sources our soldiers have to talk with their families..and he is wanting to take it away from them. Hasn't enough been done?

However, if there was a major event to take place that required stopping the dissemination of information, the entire Internet would be down. And the US does have the capability to do that.

I don't know about everyone else, but yes, it does suck that yahoo messenger is not working. I don't even know when I get email now. Myspace isn't working either at the moment... d'oh!

my messenger is still running and i think bush has other things to attend to. he may be making stricter laws for minors on yahoo messenger.
