The pay seems low but then I don't know the cost of living in Sinapore. It is a bad idea to avoid waiting because of one bad experience; it could have been because of that particular restaurant, not the job itself. As far as your cooking goes, you probably haven't had enough experience to really get your feet under you and build your confidence. Only way to do that is to cook. So if this is what you want, go for it.

You are not very confident because you have not practiced your art as yet.
If you don't have a wife and kids and no responsibilities, why not?
Singapore could be a good experience for you. You would learn a different way of cooking. You would probably meet some interesting people.

I guess I would look at it as an opportunity for something new. If you get there and you are miserable, just return home.
You don't sound like you want to go. Why don't you do the old pros and cons list. That's what I do when I can't make up my mind...........Good luck to you.......You know, you could meet the love of your life there.....................

although you could make that much in a minimum wage job in several states, I really think you should go to Singapore, that way you get away from all that Bush stuff you hate. so why does you friend want to get rid of you?

Be careful, very careful!!! Some of these overseas jobs are scams where they take your passport and you are virtual prisoner for slave/sex trade. Check the job out with the U.S. State Department to see if legit.

Well will it help you develop your skills?. Will it help support you monetarily? If the answers are yes then do it until you find something better. Well even though you "anti Bush" I hope this helps.
