What do you consider to be "too young?" I got pregnant the first time at 17 but I was 18 when I gave birth. I also finished high school. My parents never raised my daughter. My fiance and I got a place of our own 2 months after I found out I was pregnant. Welfare didn't pay for that apartment either. We both work and our girls go to their grandmother's while I'm working(we have 2 children now). She also gets paid to watch them. I think that if a teen is having a child at an age that she can't take care of a child herself, then it's dusgusting. I don't think it's anyone's business about the mother's age if she IS capable of taking care of her child.

Your right. All these babies having babies. I mean where are these kids parents. I know alot of them try to raise their child the right way and still the child goes down the wrong path but come on girls your still a baby make sure your ready for the responsibilty before getting into the mess. Iam tired of hearing on the news how they found a baby stashed somewhere dead or clinging to life because these kids didnt want them so they just threw them away like a piece of trash.

I really wish I lived in like the 40's because like everything just seemed better then, well I guess not everything but everyone was more proper then and I dont know I just wish I didn't have to grow up in a world like this because my parents and grandparents tell stories all the time of riding there bikes to the lakes and into the woods and stuff like that and I just think I dont do that what am I going to tell my kids I watched tv and went to the mall? given the use of day care for infants and toddlers, pushed by the govt and women's magazines, it's pretty clear where a lot of people get the idea not to care about their unborn child's life.

typically, these girls are unloved and in desparation to feel love, first let boys use them, then TRY to have babies to love. but of course, that's a terrible way to try to have love, because the babies only want for so long, they don't give.

igonorance, low self esteem, looking for love, predator males of all ages these are all reasons, but you should not condemn their parents many times they have done all that could be done and it still happens. You should be more understanding and more generous because these young girls have made a hard road for themselves and they and their children will have to live it. we know what you mean. me and my school friends were talking about it one day , ( we're mature for our ages) and one of my friends said that her aunt gave birth yound. what's wrong with these girls? don't they know they have their whole lives to mess it up? why do it young?


I'll tell you why. Peir pressaure. They see their idols having kids and the who did it with who stuff. It makes it seemlike a good thing. the same with drinking in smoking. that's what famous people do to our kids. we need t scare them or get rid of famous people
