If I can take it for granted that we are talking about JFK there has been an entire industry born out of the manufacture of conspiracy stories and theories. Actually there have been quite a few created about the assasination of Bobby Kennedy as well but since the assassin, Sirhan Sirhan was seen shooting him from a distance of a few feet and tackled in a matter of seconds with the gun smoking in his hand only the most gullible have ever bought into them. With JFK the case is slightly more complicated. Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested but shot and killed himself before he could be brought to trial. This allowed some conspiracy stories to make the rounds and a huge number of American's have come to believe them without knowing why. The Olive Stone movie "JFK", which had only a passing resemblence to history, really put the icing on the cake so far as conspiracy stories went and people still quote from the movie as if it was a documentary. Here is the long and the short of it. There is absolutly no, I repeat, none, zero, nada, evidence that contradicts Oswald as having been the assassin and a mound of evidence that points to him. The shots came from the window he had access to on the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depositry. The shots came from his rifle, with his prints on it and it was found on the sixth floor of the building in which he worked. Oswald matched the description of the man seen shooting from the sixth floor window and when, later that same day, a Dallas police officer named Tippet stopped Oswald to question him Oswald shot him to death in front of witnesses. There are other aspects to the story that many love to quote and base their conspiracy theories on, the second round fired passed through both President Kennedy and Governor Connoly but was only slightly deformed. Some claim that this was proof that there had to be a second gunman since the bullet should have been mushroomed out but they convienently forget to mention that the bullet was a full metal jacketed round and wasn't supposed to mushroom. Basically all the other "questions" and supposed "inconsistancies" of the assassination that are the foundation of conspiracy stories can be answered in such a way but lets face it, Oswald acting along isn't going to sell many books and that really is the name of the game. I think the evidence that Lee Harvey Oswlad killed President Kennedy is solid as a rock but saying as much is not the popular answer and people who don't have a clue as to the true events on that day will never believe you.

I assume you mean John, it which case it was blamed on Lee Harvey Oswald, who in turn was killed by Jack Ruby. So who knows!
The real question is who did John little brother Ted Kennedy kill? Some would say Mary Jo Kopechne.
