Have you shopped at Rite Aid pharmacies and front-ends of their stores? How was the experience and do you continue to shop there?

I quit Rite Aid when they moved the mini post office out. It was so handy not to drive all the way across town. Plus they don't have the extra value rewards that CVS has. So with CVS I am staying for the present.

I shopped almost exclusively at Rite Aid for about a year. They have a 3 liter of cola called Big Fizz that costs a buck, but the reason I shopped there was because it was about a city block away, and since I lacked a car I would have been forced to carry a lot of stuff if I went anywhere that was further away. I've never had any trouble with their service (I once accidentally bought some expired milk though) and they occasionally have some really nice deals. Particuarly, every Valentines day they have a big, forty dollar teddy bear about as big as I am! I've never had the guys to spend that much cash on a plush bear. I still shop at that store, even though I moved, cause while it's not the closest place around anymore, it's still pretty close and I like their selection and prices.

I live in Northern California. The Rite Aid near me is not nearly as nice as Longs Drugs and Walgreens. Seems kind of old and dated. My store has ice cream and food in the front, which Moms with little kids seem to enjoy.

I have never had a problem at Rite Aid, but I don't go there very often because there's a CVS closer to my house.

They are like most retail pharmacies. Nothing really seperates them from the competition. I usually go where there is a broad selection, low prices and clean, well lighted stores.
