I got them constantly - and ever since the pregnancy 13 years ago!!!!! It's a lack of magnesium, probably. I don't think anything is wrong with your baby, nothing was wrong with my two despite those charlie horses. Oh they are awful.

I could reduce them some by cutting caffeine consumption, stretching my calfs before laying down, making sure my legs are bent, not sitting too long, and taking magnesium. I'd check with my midwife/doc before taking magnesium, just 'cause I don't know if they're okay during pregnancy.

Good luck, and remember, day care is harmful to infants and other living things and human milk is a birthright - formula lowers the iq, increases risk for diabetes and cancer, and can make it easier to stay away from your baby before your baby is ready for it.

It's normal, try eating a banana everyday(low potassium could be the cause of the cramps)...It helped me when I had them. Also try stretching your calf muscles every once in a while throughout the day. That might help some too.

it is normal. totally annoying and very painful but unfortunately, it is normal.

there is an explanation for it in the pregnancy books, i read them when i was going through the same thing. i don't recall the reason for the cramps (i'm sorry) but the explanation was rather boring and didn't worry me any longer.

I did mention it to my dr because I had a high risk pregnancy and thought they wanted all the info... they told me it was nothing to worry about.

I get it all the time. It's so annoying, and often painful. If I move wrong then it makes things worse so that I'm in pain for a day or two. I've heard getting more water helps to prevent it.

I was told that my legs kept cramping because of the extra pregnancy weight. Try stretching your legs before bed.

No worries! It is perfectly normal for your muscles to tense up and tire out more easily. Remember, no matter how much or how little weight you gained during your pregnancy, you are carrying a little human inside you.

Yes, your legs are tired. Rest as much as you can, stretch your legs when you think of it, and hang on, you are coming down the home stretch. Your baby is unaffected.

first of all check with your Dr. you may or may not be gettting enough of Potassium that is found in Banana's. but check with your Dr. to be sure.
I wish you the best. Babys take so much from our bodies so check with your Dr. so he can better tell you what to do. :)
