He is away temporarily on work, but has said that we're going shopping for my engagement ring soon (I want to be involved in the shopping!)..

So w/him proposing, shouldn't he be asking the question about converting? He has talked about how "our kids will be Jewish", and just a few nights ago he said something about a Jewish wedding.

Is he putting the carriage before the horse? Or is it just not the right timing?

*I haven't told him this, but I think it would be great to convert. I just want him to ask me w/out having to bring it up myself.

He probably doesn't want to put any pressure on you by asking. It would be a wonderful surprise for him if you could just tell him.

why do you want to convert so badly? Clearly he dose not really care about having Jewish children if he is not marring a Jewish spouse.

no offense but maybe you should find someone with common faith or convert without him.

Do not act like this. This is why marriages fail. Why should he ask you to convert; it seems apparent you have lead him to believe that you would. This is a game, stop it now.

better bring it up - in some synagogues your chidren would not be Jewish because that is a trait that comes from the mother - converted or not

If I were him, I would be more worried about you converting to Islam, and buying him a suicide bomb kit for an engagement present.

How can one convert to being chosen? What you pay your money and then you are chosen too? Tell him he should not have fallen in love with a shiksa if he wanted Jew kids.

Would you convert your beliefs simply because the person you love has those beliefs? That's odd. Good luck.

Your concern should be over whether he expects you to serve in the Israeli National Guard, or not.
