You'll have to avoid banking and finance as well as stockbroker and other related industries... but there are plenty of other industries. You could, for starters, work for a consulting firm as a crime consultant or go into the entertainment industry or countless other firms.
Don't hide your history--it will come up. Don't wave it out in front either, but at the first appropriate chance you have to disclose it, you should.

It's always possible of course. How bad's the felony? I think what companies are looking for today are mainly experience and good education and character. So I wouldn't worry too much. Just do the best you can, and they will overlook that. whatever you do, never ever lie on your application or if they do a background check.

of course you have a chance.
don't let your past hold you back from anything. almost everyone deserves a second chance.
when you are interviewing for your new job don't allow the person conducting the interview to dwell on your past. let them ask you about it and give them an answer then move the conversation in the direction of your education.
if you are nervous about it they will pick up on it.
don't lie on your application about the felony (not that i think you would) because it will only make them think you aren't honest.
be confident and you will succeed.
good luck in your future.

I believe it depends on how long ago the crime was committed, and what type of crime was committed. For instance, if you were a sex offender, I hgihly doubt you will be able to find any work other than flipping burgers, or mopping someones floor, but if it was something like a white color crime, you might have a chance to come back. Just depends on the crime and the time that has elapsed since the crime was committed.

I certainly hope you will be successful, I have a BA and a great resume but an 8 year old felony(drugs) that keeps me from being anything more than a entry level employee.

I think you asked this question earlier and I don'tthink the answer are going to be that different. It really depends on what the felony was and the company or companies you apply to. I wish you good luck

If it was not a drug charge you do. I have a felony charge myself and talked to alot of schools about how it would affect me. I told them what my charge was and they said since it wasnt a drug charge it would affect me very little. If you served all your time and payed all your fines and didnt get into anymore trouble talk to a lawyer about getting it pulled from your file.

It depends on what you were convicted of and what field you are trying to work in. I think having good character references will help also and ten years is a long time, unless you did something very bad.
Anyway, good luck.

You should.
Not all companies do background checks. And if they do, alot of the time, they take into consideration how long ago you were convicted, and what it was for.
Make sure you are honest about it on any applications you fill out.
