If the person has been hired as the boss then I would say that they have plenty of common sense. I feel certain that a year ago several of my employees felt that way about me...new environment, new policies & a different computer system...BUT the bottom line...I did know what I was doing & once I got in my comfort zone everyone was comfortable. Just remember to ALWAYS treat people w/ respect & be helpful, that can always work in your favor!!!

Keep in mind first that your company hired the person. The company therefore stands behind the boss and gives the boss authority to run his/her area and make appropriate decisions. One appropriate decision might be to trim unnecessary employees from the payroll. Put yourself in the mind of such a boss and think about what type of employee, if laid off, would make things run more smoothly? Before you undertake a mission of trying to demonstrate that your boss is unfit, first think of the possible consequences of it. Do you have other job offers that will make the transition from one company to the other easy?
