not in a real sense like the oceans, meteorological forces down on the lakes masks the tides. usually they are 1-4 centimeters, so no real tides are computed in the great lakes

Yes it does, Heres why.

the moon's gravitational force pulls on water in large bodies of water so that there are "bulges" in the water on both sides of the planet. The moon pulls water toward it, and this causes the bulge toward the moon. The bulge on the side of the Earth opposite the moon is caused by the moon "pulling the Earth away" from the water on that side.

If you are on the coast and the moon is directly overhead, you should experience a high tide. If the moon is directly overhead on the opposite side of the planet, you should also experience a high tide.

During the day, the Earth rotates 180 degrees in 12 hours. The moon, meanwhile, rotates 6 degrees around the earth in 12 hours. The twin bulges and the moon's rotation mean that any given coastal city experiences a high tide every 12 hours and 25 minutes or so.

Yes. Not huge tidal waves, but all lakes have waves and tides. I just spent a week on Lake Michigan and got home today and saw a lot of its strange habits. It was calm mostly, but it got rough very quickly, which can explain all of those ships in its depths.

Yes my brother went to Lake Huron one day with my parents car and left it on the beach while he and his friends did something. When they came back to go home the car was out in the lake with water up to the seats. Needless to say he didn't get the car next weekend.

Yes, but they are not big at all, maybe 2 or 3 feet at the maximum.
