Kobe. Vinsanity has been overhyped in his career because of his athleticism. Carter is an average player without it while Kobe has shown he can score from shooting as well as his athleticism. I mean look at his 81 point game. Carter could never do that.

I would have to say Kobe Byrant, but not because he's a better scorer, or the fact that he has 3 championships compared to Vince Carter's zero or the fact the Kobe is a better defender or the fact the Kobe is second person to score the highest points in the game... But the main reason for me that sets Kobe Byrant apart from Vince Carter and may other players is his love for the game (some of you might think that he just cares about him and nobody else, but he does have a true ginuwine love for the game)....what also makes Kobe better than Vince is Kobe is never satisfied with his play; he keeps raising the bar, especially when it comes to winning titles. It's that drive that separates him from other great players.

Kobe, no douby. He has the scoring title, an 81 point game, and 3 rings. Vince Carter hasn't been close to that good since almost five years ago when the raptors were still a decent team.

On pure talent, Kobe Bryant. On team play, Vince Carter. Bryant needs to tame his ego and play with the others on the court. He could be on the same level as Michael Jordon if he showed true leadership on the court. He hasn't yet, and most likely he never will. Carter on the other hand jump started his career again with the Nets, and plays welll alongside Jason Kidd.

Kobe hands down. He has the killer instinct in the big game and can hit the big shot. Sure Vince has some amazing moves, but he often falls asleep when it matters most.
