I found out that a some people I knew from college, who is now 40 years old, some near 50, are still single and still involved with the student group at school we were a part of years ago. Nobody has to get married when they grow up, but this just struck me as a little odd. If I were a student, it would seem kind of wierd to be eating pizza and playing video games with never married people old enough to be your parents.

I dont think its strange at all....I'm 44 and my husband is 20. Age is just a number. Even my mother in law loves me. I dont feel like im that old. Age is just a state of mind.

I don't think its odd. Maybe he fits in better with college kids because he still wants to feel like a kid at heart. You don't have to hang out with people your own age(though in some cases you will anyways) because if you get along with them and have fun with them thats the important thing. If the kids he is hanging out with don't want him there, it's a little different. But, if nobody seems to mind, I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

I would have to agree that it would seem sad to me that a 40 year old person would not have any friends their own age. Now it will be okay when the 40 year old person turns 80 and the college students are in their 40's .... yeah... it still seems alittle crazy doesn't it?
