Usually, it's because of some "tougher" skin or tissue on one side of the shaft. The penis is then pulled toward that side during erection. If it is significant or painful, you need to visit your doctor, as it could be a sign of Peyronie disease. Take a couple polaroid photos of your erect penis to show your doctor.
