Ignorant is lacking knowledge. Being stupid is something different. Ignorant people can be taught. Knowledge is the cure for ignorance. There is no cure for stupidity. This rudeness is pure stupidity. Everyone knows better. Some ppl just don't care and try to make life miserable for the rest of us.

With the freedom of speech comes responsibility for its use and we have entered an era where the responsibility and accountability for how we use it has been deemed unnecessary as long as we have the freedom. Unfortunately, history has taught us that once we take away the responsibility and accountability for any freedom, we eventually lose the freedom.

This doesn't make people ignorant however, it makes them stupid - because I believe they basically know the difference, they have chosen to disregard the difference.

I second that. The world has gone to hell and nobody cares about anyone or anything anymore. When you let someone out in traffic do they wave thank you anymore? When you walk into a convenience store and hold the door for person behind you do they say thank you? What I get a real kick out of are the baptist friends I have. They are the biggest back stabbers and complainers and when you call them on it they get a higher pitched voice and say "How can you say that to me? I'm a Christian". Always makes me laugh

Yes I agree with you. Some people have no manners and are rude and use freedom of speech as a excuse.

They don't care; ignorance is a bliss for people. Since life for them may be stupid anyway, they launch out many hurtful speeches. They cut hard and fresh with their unforgiving blade of a tongue they have; they misuse their god given ablity. The best thing to do is ignore most people since their life may be worser than yours. You don't have to stoop down to their level! Their probably just jealous because they have issues to deal with, and don't know how to deal with them. I have ignored many ignorant people in High School, and thats why I haven't got in any fights at all. They probably really don't even mean it.

I agree 100%! There is waaaayyyy too much criticism, badmouthing, name-calling, etc. It's a shame! It's ironic actually that we live in a society where everyone wants to do as they please. They want to dress as they please, talk as they please, listen to what they please, etc. but, at the same time, they want to criticize anyone who is different then they are. Isn't that ironic and very very sad! I don't think most people are as openminded as they think they are.
