I had the same problem about 6 months ago. Flea bombs kill the adult fleas, but won't kill the eggs or juveniles (no matter what the lable may say). The trick is to end the fleas life cylce. Here is how you do it. You can start by bombing to kill the adults. Air it out, and go by Borax 20 Mule Team from a local market. Sodium Boride. Shake that into your carpet, not too much, and then work it in with a broom. All the carpet. Then you need to buy a spray like "Enforcer" with an insect growth inhibitor. This has a special hormone in it that does not harm people or pets, but keeps insects from developing from adolescents, into adults. Only adults bite. Spray this on all affected soft surfaces, couches, drapes, etc., especially in hidden areas, under couches. Fleas don't like light, so they will hide in dark places during the day, important to treat these dark places. Vacuum out the Borax after 2-3 hours. Continue to apply the insect growth inhibitor for the next week or so, every couple of days. The borax makes it really uncomfortable for fleas to live in your carpet, but since it is just soap base, it is harmless to humans, unless you have real sensitive skin. These things done together will completely take care of your flea problem, without a whole bunch of nasty toxins in your house.

First of all, get rid of the animal causing them or put them outside and treat them for fleas. Second, you can visit your local farm supply store... Tractor Supply, Co-Op or feed supply store and get a higher grade of insecticide than you would be able to purchase in a discount or hardware store. The best one out there on the market today is called Viper... it comes in a 2 ounce bottle and will make about 3 gallons of spray. This will definately get rid of your flea problem. If you are wanting to do this chemical free them fill several shallow dishes ( like a 9x11 baking pan) with water an a few drops of dishwashing liquid and set in on the floor ( I am assuming you have carpet?) with a lamp close to it over night... the fleas will be attracted to the light and water... once in the water, the dish washing liquid will make it impossible for them to release from the surface tension of the water and they will be trapped. Just simply empty the pan into the toilet the next morning and start over the next night until all of the fleas are gone. The only problem with this that the eggs that they left will hatch and more fleas will come which will lay more eggs etc... So I would opt for the insecticide and getting rid of the flea riddled aniamls causing this problem. Peace.

Hello.
I just told some one else almost the same thing for bug,At the time i bought this bug killer in Manards, name ORTHO home defense perimeter+indoor insect killer.
There was a lady in the store buying the same stuff I was for bug's in my house, she said she was buying it for fleas to keep them out and away from her cat's.
So I do it now to other then for bug's,no more problem with bug's or fleas.
I never had them so maybe that's why.
Every spring and fall I do that all around the corner's of the house.
I would give your pet's a good bath with some flea shampoo to just to be on the safe side,ok.
I think this will help out alot, try it and see.
Sharon.
Take care.

The best thing ever! sprinkle borax soap (laundry isle in the store) all over carpets and under cusions, under beds, let sit for a few days, don't vacuum. The borax dehydrates the fleas and kills them. It takes about four weeks for the fleas to all be gone but it is well worth the wait. I had a company come out and I asked them what they used and they told me it was just plain borax soap, harmless to people and animals. I lived in that house with the same pets for 4 more years after they came out and never had fleas ever again!

1. flea bomb
2. exterminator
3. If you have a pet use Frontline Plus or Advantage/ They not only kill the fleas on the animal but everywhere around the pet as well.
If you have the really nasty kind that are chewing your ankles you may well need profession help :(. And an exterminator ;)

After the flea bomb, and getting them off any pets, repeat the process 2 weeks later (the incubation period of flea eggs)
Plus vacuum frequently. If you have a bag vacuum, buy a flea collar and cut it up and put the pieces in the bag. For bagless, empty the canister everytime in an outside trash receptacle.
Fleas are a menace! Hopefully, these tips help you :)

Flea bombs is all i can suggest. Its a very bad thing for your own body but its either get bit like the dogs and cats do or bomb the house! Make sure you launder all the material that has been exposed because fleas lay eggs in everything!

Raid flea bombs (foggers)
Yelp works everytime. Do this again in 6 weeks because of the eggs. Also kills other unwanted bug that make their way into the house.

One of the oldest "down home" methods is to set out pie pans with a half-inch of soapy water in them. Just put some detergent in the water.

It works because fleas are notorious jumpers and eventually they jump into the soapy water and drown. Plain water won't work because they will float on it.
