God created humans, and humans only in his image. No religion speaks of Aliens from other planets. What would it mean if one day intelligent Aliens landed on the Earth? Would religion be automatically eliminated?

It wouldn't be an automatic elimination, but I hope that this would at least open the eyes of a few to the possibility that the people who wrote scriptures thousands of years ago had no idea of reality and what their existence was. And that they made stories up out of fear. Theses people thought the sky was an inpenetrtable dome and the stars sun and moon were lights on it... They had no friggin' clue.

Some people need religion... and it's not a good thing to jar someone out of it before they are ready. When someone is ready to embrace rationality, they will come out of it for themselves... not before.

These intelligent aliens are the ones who probably did the creating. It is wrong to say that no religion speaks of aliens. Ancient Celtic, and Sumerian beliefs were very definite on this point, Ancient Egyptians believed it, followers of the Book of Enoch believe it. Heaven is, well...in the Heavens...Lucifer fell to earth from HEAVEN (I.E. space), some Native American beliefs are very specific on it. There are spaceships in Ezekiel in some translations of the Old Testament. Need I say more? As for them coming back, I don't think it makes too much difference. People will still need to worship something, and a new religion worshipping the aliens and their gods will arise. Haven't you watched Stargate (the Movie and TV series)? Cool question though.

I don't think there would be a change, unless these creatures brought new information about religion, then the christians would kill the aliens and we'd enter into a brief intergalactic war, where men would be sold as sex slaves to beautiful alien women with breasts on their backs and two vaginas. The aliens would also bring an intoxicating beverage that had no ill effects like hangovers or liver damage. Country music would cease to exist....
Anyway some religions do speak of aliens the Raelians for one, have there entire faith based on creatures coming to Israel, check it out. Thanks for the thought provoking question.

It would be the same thing as when the Europeans came across us American Indians. We weren't in the bible, but there were plenty of excuses and explanations of our existence by the new comers and their religious zealots. If aliens make their appearance, the religions would have their explanation based on the religious dogmas.....

It would be interesting to see the aliens' take on religion and the 'god-force' if any.

Prove all the Catholics wrong! Then again, they would just say "oh an act of God! Lord Thundering Jesus it's a message!"

I think "other life" is real, it's not like we're the only life in the Universe. Whether they're technologically advanced, primitive, or still some sort of amoeba, they're out there.

Of course religion would not be eliminated! Just as a brain-washed child can't be cured immediately..... and sometimes, never. As a Free Thinker, I, for one, would be very interested in knowing the alien's perspective on "Creation of Life".

"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them."
Genesis 2:1
Them, is a plural word.
Note Heavens? There are three havens.
1. Heaven of our sky
2. Heaven of the Stars
3. Heaven of the throne of G*D
Yes they to are included in the kingdom and we as his children will have domain over these hosts as one rule ling body of G*d.
"when the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy" Job 38:7
Gen 1:15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
Gen 1:16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.
Gen 1:17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
Gen 1:18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that [it was] good. It means that G*d made everthing and every one in creation. Aliens to. We have something they were not offered by G*d.
So you see not just to worship G*d all the time even though there will be no more time for us but to play in a playground the size of the Universe. Just don't mistake Jesus when he comes back as an alien. He was born here remember? In the Flesh and walked this earth. Read the sign of his coming in:
Rev 19:11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12 His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14 And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:16 And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
So you see it will not be an Alien that comes to invade us but rather G*d coming to rule his creation. Get Ready He’s coming. Just watch the news. Amen.

To me it would indicate that God did not limit his creations to just Earth. Religion for me would certainly not be automatically eliminated. There would just be a bigger world out there than I had been taught.

if an alien life form was ever to reach our little solar system it would seem that they would have the power to travel faster than light, therefore they would possess the knowledge of time manipulation.and could have been here since before the beginning of creation and are here at this very instance!!!
i would have to say "global ramifications"

Actually if more life existed and it came to earth one day I would think that God sent it.

The End!
