Seeking legal advice would be the right route to go. Honestly I do not believe there is a set age. I think it is more of a judges call. Remember to tell your child a name is is a name, it's what is inside that matters. It certainly has to be difficult to face other children when your name is different than the rest of your family: however, This is an awesome opportunity to show her her true inside beauty and to pick your battles. Remember also her true friends will love her no matter what her name is. Honestly childhood is hard if it isn't a name it is something else. Remember to pray and seek the Lord's will. He will Give you only as much as you can handle!! There is a lesson to everything. I will pray for you and your situation!!
