Good question - I usually answer more religious questions but this one is Good. On the way to the Crapper you are taking a dump - once there you are delivering a dump - at flush time you are leaving the dump!!! Nice question to bring up a laugh!

The English language has far more fascinating topics for discussion than this. Find one of them and ask a real question.

I agree it should be changed.

the best way of explainging it is that words and their meaning have changed where taking and other words had other meanings. the best example is the word Gay (OLD meaning is to be very happy) (NEW meaning is to be homosexual)

Yeah tell me about it. Why is it when you want to know the time you point to your wrist, but when you have to take a pee, you don't point to your crotch and say where is the bathroom?

Actually, you could be taking it because you are taking it from out of your butt and putting it in the toilet. I mean, it's your butt that's actually taking it but you get what I mean.
