No, ear piercings hardly hurt, especially when they're done on the lobes. I have a very low pain tolerance (I'm nearly brought to tears when I stub my toe), but I have had 8 piercings total (first set had to close completely and were redone, a second set on the lobes, a cartilage piercing (helix), and a tongue piercing). If you choose a lobe piercing, it'll feel like a bit of pressure (as the needle pushes against the skin) with a small, quick pinch that lasts a fraction of a second as the needle actually enters the skin (but you don't feel it as it passes through the flesh or back end of the ear). The cartilage piercing is all pinch and lasts a little longer (as there's nothing squishy to push against there). The pain will last at very most a whole second.

As a word of advice, don't get your piercings done at a mall where sterilization is iffy at best, and non-existant at worst, and done by people who consider piercing as a 'job to get done and over with' instead of a 'an artform to be excelled at'. Go to a reputable body piercing shop with your parent(s)/guardian(s), and ask about their sterilization techniques, and ask to see pictures of their handywork (noone wants a piercing that doesn't look good or may cause infection). This way, you can also choose where you want to get pierced by looking at the examples shown. Any good piercer will have a portfolio (if he doesn't, he's probably new to piercing, or isn't proud of his work).

It only hurts for a little while. If you want to get a second piercing, get it just above the first piercings on your ears. I think that single piercings are most classic. I had my ears double pierced and wish I wouldn't have. I only wear single earrings. It costs the same as your first piercings. Get them done at the mall at a certified place.

No, it doesn't hurt much and it's only a short sharp pain, bit like if you bite your tongue. Best place to have it done is in the ear.

More seriously, steer clear of cartilage piercings- if they go bad they can be disfiguring and they take longer to heal and need more care. Also, they must definitely be done with a real piercing needle, not one of those ear piercing guns.

I got my second piercing right above the fist one. It isn't in the cartilage, just below it. It hurt a bit more then the first piercing because i was closer to the actually ear, but it wasn't that bad.
