Soriano has stated that he would like to stay with the Nationals, and if they're smart they'll keep him. He's young and makes for a really nice cornerstone (along with Ryan Zimmerman) to build a team around. And how many other players are people going to Nationals games to see? Soriano puts people in the seats. And the bottom cash line is what it's all about for ball clubs. I certainly wouldn't mind seeing him in a Cubs uniform, even if it means giving up multiple players (such as Juan Pierre and Mark Prior).

As a Detroit fan I hope he gets traded here. We have some good pitching prospects who are not needed right now, honestly and it would be a shame to see talent go to waste, so I think the Nats should trade Soriano here for a couple of our pitching propects.

i'm going to use detroit as an example. this is jsut an example. i'm going on the record to say detroit will not get him, but this is off the top of my head what it will take to get soriano.

-a young outfielder with speed (curtis granderson)
-a solid poisition player who's ready to perform now and into next year (brandon inge)
-a hard throwing, and preferably young relief pitcher (joel zumaya)
-and a mid-tier minor league prospect

all this for soriano and maybe a throw in player or 2.

He'll go to either NYY or Anaheim for prospects, depending upon who has the better farm system. I hope the Yanks don't do something stupid like giving up Melky or Cano.
