how do you invert a selection in photoshop?

i mean invert the selection not invert

To invert the selection in Photoshop do the following:
In the top toolbar click Select/Inverse

The keyboard shortcut is shift + ctrl + i

for windows, click Select>Inverse or you can press Ctrl+Shift+I. for mac- i don't know. try search using Help.

At the toolbar on top, click on IMAGE and then choose ROTATE CANVAS. You will have your choices there.
