What is Gerard Butler's clan?

Does Gerard Butler use his real name and what is his clan? Are there any know pictures of him in his colors-tartan?

He was born in Scotland, but both of his parents are/were Irish. So, Butler is his real name (born Gerard James Butler) but he doesn't have a Scottish tartan, as he is Irish. I have a picture of him in what appears to be a black leather kilt, though. the link is http://www.kiltmen.com/photogallery4.htm
