his parents weren't talking to me when i started dating him and since he's the youngest, his parents seemed upset that he had a girlfriend...so, then three weeks after, they took him and i out to a movie and bought me dinner...then the next day at church, we had lunch and his parents were talking to my dad and his dad came up behind me and put his hand on my shoulder like he was okay w/ me now...and then just thursday, i texted my guy to ask if he could come over to watch a movie and he said that he couldn't cuz he had to help with vbs, and so yesterday his mom and my mom were working to set up for vbs and his mom was like " do you know what your daughter wanted my son to do?" and mom was like "no" and she seemed like she went kinda crazy about it...but i told mom that i had forgotten all about vbs and wouldn't have asked if i'd remembered about it...and so my dad thinks i should call his mom and apologize, but i don't feel as tho i should b/c she took it the wrong way, what shoud i do

Since I dont know your ages I am not sure how to answer this. However at any age, I am thinking that this has too many parents involved in this relationship. I think his mom is taking stuff just a bit overboard. So you made an honest mistake.. big deal I say. Mistakes happen and you forgot the up coming week "to do list". I dont think you should be crusified for the mistake. However if your parents think you should apologize to her.. maybe its the best thing to do. They know the situation a lot better than anyone on Yahoo answers knows. PS.. if you did call her to apologize.. I would make sure that she knew it was a simple mistake. Good Luck

You should respect his parents enough to apologize for any misunderstanding there may have been. It will help your relationship with her son, otherwise parents can destroy the relationship, especially if they think you are being disrespectful. She may have over reacted a little, but is is obvious the church means alot to her. For all that don't know, VBS is vacation Bible School, usually for children. My daughter looks forward to it every summer.

I would call and apologize. Why? Because you forgot. Those things happen and if his mom is any kind of Christian she will forgive you. I'd also ask if I could help (to win "brownie" points) in vbs if you could.

I think you should explain to his mom about what really was gonna happen or whatever dont apologize to her about what you didnt do just say i apologize this all got mixed up and you took it the wrong way i would too and say bye and then she'll say wait and she'll apologize if she's not too stubborn.

Well you could go ahead and apolo"lize" just so they can shut up but I wouldn't. That is just the dumbest reason for you to have to apologize. You forgot and it's just as simple as that and it wasn't like you asked the boy to have sex with you or eat you out! It's really no big deal.
