there was a judgement against a person 7 years ago for money owed it was never paid 2 years ago there was an agreement regarding money owed half paid then and the other half paid off within a year the second half has never been paid this person is now threatening to go to a lawyer how long does this person have to bring a lawsuit

If you agreed to pay within a year, and it's been 2 years, they can sue you for it at any time. The statute of limitations varies widely between counties and states, anywhere from one to ten years, and depending on where you're at there may not even be a statute of limitations. You'll have to check with a local lawyer.

(Or you could pay back the money you owe.)

Your statute of limitations are no longer within the spectrum of the law now. It is what is considered an unsecured debt and all you could have done was put a lien on any property they may have had like a car or home. It should have been done within the last seven years though. Sorry.

Until the person that is suppose to get paid is paid in full, the can always bring another lawsuit.

Depending on the State, geberally 6 years on the agreement. Why there is an agrement is confusing as there already was a judgment.

If a judgment has already been won, there is no need for a lawsuit; just enforcement actions need to be carried out. You have the order, now go and enforce it.
