When Ringo had tonsilitis in '64, Brian Epstein recruited Nicol to fill in for about 2
weeks of tour! Played gigs in Holland, Denmark, Australia...this is documented...look it up! John, Paul & George were opposed, but Eppy convinced
them it was too costly to cancel or postpone! Jimmy Nicol was a Beatle for
about 2 weeks! But where is he NOW????

He's quoted in the Beatles Biography that came out earlier this year, or late last year. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. I had already read extensively about the Beatles and found the book more than interesting. I believe Jimmy Nicol had his own band and still lives in Britain.

Umm, yes, there was. Nicol filled in during the Beatles 1964 Australasian tour, when Ringo came down with a case of tonsillitis.

Who? Pete Best was the original drummer. Ringo replaced him. There was no other "replacement" drummer to my knowledge.
