The best way to overcome fear is to identify it. By identifying it the fear doens't seem as big or formidable.

Keep this in mind; when we look into the dark and fear, we fear the unknown. We don't know what is out there hence we fear it.

When we look upon a corpse. It is fear of death that grips you. The fear of death is merely the fear of the unknown. We don't know what ha[[ens after death, so, we fear.

Fear, usually, is just a lack of knowledge.

Identify your situation. Analyze it. MAKE it KNOWN. The more you know about a situation or fear the less it will bother you.

Fear: a fear of the unknown.

To overcome it; MAKE IT KNOWN.

Once it is know then you can start to disregard it or overcome it.

I have used this tequnique MANY times in my life. I fear less than most.

Depending on the fear I would learn what I could about it and then slowly put myself in the situtation untill I no longer felt nervous or scared around whatever it may be. After being around someting for a long period of time and finding that nothing bad is occuring you will stop being afraid.

Most of the time I find the anticipation was worse than whatever it was afraid of, so it's a good idea to get going and not let the fear eat at you. I do try to analyze my fears, and look for ways to minimize my concerns, them just like everybody else, I just deal with it.

Many ways, one is to take small steps leading to the leap. One is look before you leap so you have an understanding of the situation you are getting into. Also fear is not all that bad. One should always fear one's enemies, although be ready to compete with them.
