Just in case. Meariel, i pronounce as mirror-ee-el and Ariel as R-E-L (or ar-ee-el)

Ariel would just make me think of soap powder. Meariel doesn't appeal at all.
As someone else has said Alexis reminds me of Dynasty, not necessarily a good thing.
This leaves Lyra amd Naomi, of the two I would go for Lyra.

and Lyra is not a very strong currency i don't like any of them much how about Narnia? good film magical place and sounds a little bit like the sort of names you said? :)
