Yesterday during our conversation my girlfriend said to me that the thing she most likes about me is that I am very sweet and really down to earth, which she says is uncommon in men! What does it mean when a girl says this? Is it a good thing or does she find me a bit boring?

yea this is a good thing coz sweet guys r very hard to find and being down to earth is gr8 2 i sed the exact thing to my bf the otherday its a compliment so dont worry

hi - it probably means she likes you in a substantial way - which is great or at least a great entry point (pun intended)! You of course may have the ego need to be recognised as exciting, dangerous, fast, sexy, mysterious, powerful etc. Many people use masks to fulfil these. As a result they are not being entirely themselves, perhaps have inflated views of themselves or are not authentic - or in your girlfriends terms 'down to earth'. I wouldn't worry about that - perhaps you are conscious of being a bit boring - in which case you could conduct a personal inventory listing things you would like to see in yourself that are not currently coming to surface - then using the good base you have established with your girlfriend to explore these things. I read somewhere that you only really know yourself through relationship. So enjoy exploring!

You my friend are so lucky to have a girl that appreciates the fact that you are a good guy because so many women know days are attracted to guys who are jerks, so relish in the thought of how lucky you really are and keep being your self because obviously it really works for you and by the way does she have any sisters or friends that feel the way she does?

Relax, it's a good thing, but just be sure, you don't become boring, as that can happen.
You'd be better off, if she called you hot and exciting. Her description, makes you more like a friend, than a boyfriend.
It may be time to shake up, your relationship.
