No, this will not happen. If the Astros trade Clemens to either NY or Boston they will want talent that does not come with a major contract.

Zero chance of this happening. This will undoubtedly be Clemens final year while A-Rod still has a very long career ahead of him. The Astros would have to give up a lot more and basically mortgage their future to get him.
And why are Yankee fans so eager to get rid of him? Because of some defensive errors? Even in a so called bad year he is putting up stellar numbers. A .284 average, he's drawn 54 walks, 21 home runs, 71 RBI, and 178 total bases. Every team would love to have that.

Basically we're talking about trading a guy who likely has 7-10 years left as one the the game's top players for a pitcher who will probably pitch about 75 more innings in his life. If the Yankees ever made this trade it would be the dumbest trade in the history of professional sports. Hmmmm....Now that I think about it, considering it's the Yankees we're talking about maybe they would do it. lol

The next big trade in New York will be the Mets getting Barry Zito from the Oakland A's, The Mets will give up minor league prospects and one of their starters, most likely Traschel.

I don't think the Yankees would ever trade A-rod. Brian Cashman even said that A-rod's not going anywhere.

never. if the yankess make this deal they're stupid. AROD is currently on pace to hit over 700 home runs in his career. clemens will most likely retire after this year. would you really sacrifice all those years of home runs (not to mention the money the team will make from ticket sales and memorabilia as he nears milestones) for 3 months of a great pitcher?

not a chance........im sure clemens has a no trade clause in his contract and if he wanted to play for the yankees, he simply would have just signed with them, rather than deciding to go another stint with the astros.

No way, if A-rod were to be traded for pitching, it would be for younger brand names!
