i would like to build a music website for an online magazine which i hope to launch by the beginning of 2007.
is there a help guide also for setting margins bandwith for videos and mp3 links as well as direct banner links.

how many gis of space does one site hold and are there any limitations as to how much i can upload onto the site in one session

what are the monthly fees also

check http://geocities.yahoo.com - their basic package is free, but they have expanded packages that cost money.

You can find places to make it for free like the yhaoo geocitis for example. But the thing is that they give you a space limit, so if you want to put music and videos then you should try one that haves monthly fees, because it will alow you to put more music on it. But for starters you can try a free one until you get the hang of it and then upgrade it wen your memory limit is full

there is monthly fees. depends on the type of website your trying to build as to how much it costs
