HELL YES.
As to the second- I'm not good with choices.
Sex Pistols are awesome, of course, as are the Clash, the Adicts, the Ramones, the Damned, the Jam... Iggy Pop... Velvet Underground- not punk in the "f*** off" way, but in an equally awesome plain old alternative way. Sham 69, of course. The Cure isn't really punk... but I like SOME of their stuff, so they get to be included. Agent Orange, Generation X, The New York Dolls... and the Dead Kennedys are alright too.

Absolutely. But not this pop punk (Simple Plan, Green Day, Good Charlotte). That's not real punk rock. I like bands like The Exploited, The Damned, Black Flag, GBH, Husker Du.
My favourite is The Exploited!!!
