I just got a 600 (off eBay) after upgrading from a 300. With the 300, I was limited to using VeriChat, a program that requires a yearly subscription of $25 to use. Now that I have a 600, there must be other programs that are free/purchasable with a one time cost. Does anybody know of a good IM program that doesn't require a subscription?

Also, for those of you who used to have VeriChat and have switched to something else, please respond. For those of you who had VeriChat, got something else, and went back to VeriChat, please respond, too.

Thanks!

Try Agile Messenger, a barely-known free alternative available on the web. It does ICQ, AIM, Yahoo, and MSN. It only supports text, but that should be good enough!
