without sounding like an idiot? I talk to him all the time online, because we live far apart. We don't see eachother that often, about twice a year. He's my best friend's uncle, but the same age as me, and our families go camping together. Anyway, I really like him, but I don't know how to tell him that without sounding weird. Would it ruin our friendship if I told him and he didn't like me back?

By the way, he's sort of laid back, but gets really excited about the stuff he's into (animals, outdoors, building stuff like treeforts [a lot of the same stuff I'm into]). We have a lot in common, but enough differences so it makes for interesting conversations a lot of the time. I don't know anymore, what do you think?

well i think you should just ask him if he likes you, or say i like you. since you live far apart and you tell him online you won get as emmbarresed as if you said it to his face. so just tell him online cause it would be much easier. if he doesnt just say can we still be friends and/or since you tld him that you like him he might come out and say that he likes you too!!
