I was wondering, I recently moved out of state and none of my family members live by me.. Can you give me some ideas that I can do, ie:creative; that could help me to show my family and my boyfriend's family the changes that I am going through during my pregnancy (it's my 1st pregnancy).. I just want to try and have them involved as much as possible even with being so far away from me.. Any help would be great and it would give me something to do!!

I live in Vegas and they live in Sacramento, it's kind of hard to drive there because it's 10 hours or more and I would really prefer not to fly..

Start a Yahoo 360 blog of you. Family can read and see your updates. Also, someday your child may enjoy seeing the log as well.

A scrapbook would be a great idea. But I would make it for you. Then you can make color photo copies of the pages you finish and send it to them. You could even put the first one in a very nice frame...then they can switch out the frame each time you send them a new page. Then once the baby is born...you can continue with the pages in the same way.

If your family has the internet, i would see about going to www.myspace.com and making a page - you can download pictures, keep a blog, send messages, post bulletins...you can change the page easily and best of all its FREE!! There are lots of other sites that let you do similar things, but after you get started on myspace, its hard to stop!!! It's the best way I've found to stay in touch with my far-away friends!!

It sounds to me that you're putting too much attention to your boyfriend's family when you aren't even married to him yet. You need to secure him first before you can think about tieing into the family.
But to the question at hand, perhaps you can make a montage of family pictures and frame it near the doorway.

Send them an empty box with a note inside asking them to fill it with photos of them selves or small things they want to be in the babies room or in the hospital room?

keep a video documentary and e-mail them clips online

start a blog online to write about whats going on and include pictures of you and the new babies room etc.
