I actually think that fetuses DO dream. They don't dream like adults, of course because they have no idea what the outside looks like. So everything they dream is based off lights and sounds. I think that their dreams are more like getting really light headed and seeing lights then dreaming of a shark in boxers.(Don't ask.) A fetuses brain is active and learning already. All the little connectors have to create a pathway so the receptors can move freely. So this leaves residue kinda that the brain processes through to make way for a clean start. That is why why dream. We dream because our brain has done so much that is needs to remove the waste, thus our dreams. That is probobly why we can have really goofy dreams.

I'm sure they do....but what about? When we dream we dream of people we either know or don't know...places, things, objects. We know these things and are familiar with their shape, texture and presence. When a baby is in the womb they have not experienced these things so what could they possibly dream about if they have not seen, felt, or touched? The world will never know.

Autumn is right--experts agree that fetuses do dream. Some experts believe that babies begin to dream by the 28th week.

They have done ultrasounds on babies in uterus and they will have Rapid eye movement (REM)and that is when the body dreams so most likely they dream just like we do

experts do believe babies dream. when they dream they probably dream of being in the womb, the mother's heartbeat, the noises of outside voices, brushing against the walls of the uterus and grasping the umbilical cord. they dream of what they know, and that is all they know.
i know i know, i took all the fun out of it. :)

It's been shown that unborn babies do have REM sleep patterns - so they're dreaming about something - I really can't imagine what though??!"!
