how do i make the page I'm on smaller?

there is a little box next to the escape x in the top right corner of your screen, it has 2 boxes on it, click on that and it will make your page smaller

There a box near the right end of the Standard toolbar which dispalys a number in percent or reads Page width, Text width, etc. (this is the Zoom box). Click the down arrow on the right side of this box and chose from the list. You can also click inside the box and type in a number.
