On the 15th I had unprotected sex and I know for a fact that sperm was released inside of me. This past wednesday I started going through my regular PMS, my mood swings, my cravings, and my other regular PMS symptons, yet I never started cramping or anything of the sorts, which I normally do so a week before I start. I normally start on the 24th and I'm showing no signs of starting anytime soon. Also, I experienced weird cramps this past monday and I was sure I was going to start but I never did. I did research on if there was a possibility of me being pregnant and showing signs this early, but the closest that I've come to any signs is a few more headaches then usual, I go pee 5-6 times a day instead of 2-3, and I do have slight back pain but thats it. I know that if you think to much on something you can normally develop the symptons but I've been calm about this whole thing, accepting the fact that there may just be a possibility that I am. I'm seventeen years old and I dont know what to do, my boyfriend won't let me put it up for adoption because he was adopted so I'm afraid that I might be pregnant because I know how difficult that can be on someone of my age. So what do you think is wrong? Is there a possibility that I might be? Or am I overreacting? And there's no way for me to get a pregnancy test because my dad would find out and the women centers in town charge the women when they turn 17, so I dont know what to do. Please give me any advice that you may think will help me.

It is possible that you could be pregnant but the only way to find out is to take a test. If you can not buy a test, then is it possible to make an appointment with your doctor without your father knowing about it? The doctor would be able to draw blood as this test is often able to pick up lower HCG levels than a pregnancy test can and would be able to give you advice regarding your options all of which would be confidential. It is worth thinking about as you would know for sure one way or another. If your period doesn't start either due to stress or pregnancy, you will have to do take some action so the sooner the better I would think. Most early symptoms of pregnancy are very similiar to pre-menstral symptoms and those that are not, are several weeks away yet. The longer you wait, the more stress you will place yourself under and your options decrease with time. I wish you luck, whatever you choose!

Honey, it is possible that you are pregnant, but there is no real way to tell until you take a test. If you are not able to go get one, have your boyfriend take you to the local Health department, they should be able to give you a pregnancy test there. Also they should have resources to help you during this time if you are pregnant.

If you are not due to start your period until the 24th, you need to wait about a week after that to make sure that any test you do take doesn't give you a "false positive". If you test too early, this is possible to get if, and only if, you had any type of fertilization of the egg. Once you have fertilization of an egg, your body starts producing HCG the pregnancy horomone, and this horomone is what the pregnancy test detects. Sometimes those fertilized eggs don't implant on the wall of your uterus so then you would end up getting your period, at or around the normal time. Usually on the packages they tell you to wait a certain period of days after your missed period for this reason.

If you are pregnant, the best thing for you and your baby is to not sweat it, try not to stress yourself out. I know things may be difficult, but there are so many resources for young mothers out there. You have access to a computer so you could do some research online.

One place that I went the entire time I was pregnant to get support from other pregnant women, and to get answers as to what was happening with my body, was:
www.babycenter.com

Of course the first place you need to go is to see an Ob/Gyn. It is very important to see a doctor regularly while you are pregnant. So if you are that is where you should go, and don't be afraid to ask questions! That is what they are there for!

Good luck to you! Many Blessings!

I think you might be stressing yourself out a little. What you need to go is just relax and clear your head about it. Yes, you can make yourself experience symptoms even if your not by just thinking about it too much. There are technically 3 days a month that a women could get pregnant and that is the 10, 12th, and 14th day after her period has started. It probably is very very unlikely that you are because it has only been a few days since you had unprotected sex. Frequent peeing normally doesn't occur until the 2nd or 3rd month of pregnancy. So I really don't think you are, if you don't get your period in a few weeks your going to have to go get a test and deal with the consequences of your dads reaction. From now on-use something!!!! It's never worth it. Think you and your boyfriend will be together forever. Doubt it. You guys are 17. Hopefully I'm wrong. I'm always a sucker for a happy ending but I was with my 2 year old sons father for 11 years, since we were 15 and we were head over heals in love. Now I'm raising a son on my own. So for your own good, please please please get on some birth control. You don't want to have to worry about this every month do you? Hope I helped you out a little. Hang in there!

Ok, anytime you have unprotected sex then pregnancy is a possibility. The reason women get pregnancy symptoms is because the pregnancy hormone builds up in their system and that causes headaches, nausea, tender breasts. The peeing more doesn't come until you are 3 months or so when the uterus puts more pressure on the bladder. Same thing with the backache. If you did concieve on the 15th then the embryo would just now be implanting and it would take at least a few more days for the pregnancy hormone to build up in your system. There is simply no way to know if you are pregnant or not right now. Just wait a week or so more and see if your period comes, if not take a test!

You first question was "What do you think is wrong?"

What is wrong is, that you are just 17 and having sex, and most important having it unprotected, you should have thought about the consequences when you slept with somebody without protection.

Now, if you are, then you should talk to your family, because they are gonna know sooner or later and in cases like this is better sooner than later. Hopefully you have a supportive boyfriend in case you that are. If you are, please don't even think about abortion, it's wrong and you will regret it.

I really hope you are not, because obviously you are way too young and unfit yo have a child right now. In case you are not, please try to stop having sex as such an early age or at least get yourself some protection, so, you don't have to worry bout things like this or have to bring a baby to this world if you are not quit ready.

if u buy a pregnancy test.... you should wait a few more days to make sure its accurate. but i tried to get pregnant with my husband for 6 months thinking what your thinking. and then we stopped trying and out of nowhere i took a test not expecting anything cuz i wasn't feeling anything.... and i was. so don't worry too much there's nothing you can do about it. but theres gotta be some way to take a test at a friends house without your parents finding out. its possible for you to be pregnant though. just remember you are having a baby. your boyfriend doesn't get everything his way. if you truly think the baby is better off adopted. look into it

Every single one of my pregnancies has been very different. My current one, I tested positive 11 days after conception as my hcg levels usually show up rather quickly. And don't panic if there is a positive result in your future, there are many options, and a lot of free services available to young women. All the best to you.

Actually, what you're going through sounds similar to when I got pregnant the first time. I even waited until I was 5 days late because I felt like I could get my period at any time. When I tested, I almost threw the positive test away just because I was expecting it to be negative! You're going to have to get a test, sweetie.

is there a school nurse or trusted person u could talk to to help u out about this?

alternatively if u go to the doctors paitent-dr confidentuality means they cant tell ur dad. if its the cost of visiting the doctor that puts u off cant u pretend ur sick for some other reason, get money from ur dad or whetever, then wen ur inside the doctors ask them for a test??
