I get page not found when i try to download the messenger at yahoo.com - is there some problem with the website or some issue with my computer or settings ?

why does any version of messenger above 6 not work with my puter?....I have windows XP Pro...i can download newer versions but if i try and chat it shuts down

yahoo is working fine for me and so is my messenger atnd i have dial up @ 21.6 kbps
