Well, if you want a fashionable solution, you could try a nail polish that helps strengthen the nails, or when you remove the polish, look at the nail polish remover bottle and see if it has a formula for strengthening nails. Also, when you paint your nails, you could paint all the way around them, and just put a little bit on the back side of the nail. That way if won't crack if you tap it up against something.

Hard as nails is great... but the problem is from the inside. Go for the vitamin Hair Skin and Nails. Or a better, cheaper version.. OTC pre-natals. Great for all ages, best for all women. Dont believe me... ask your doctor. Hair will be healthier and nails stronger. Less break outs too. Why do you think they say pregnant women have a GLOW to them??

Eat Jello!!! I know this may sound weird, but Knox's Gelatin really works!! You can find it at most grocery stores...just mixit with juice or something and you won't even notice it. Also, you might want to try MSM. It's a natural supplement....completely harmless. I take it for my wrists as I play piano and one of the "pluses" is that it helps your nails too!
Good luck!

Use a strengthening nail polish. Try not to use nail polish remover to often. Wear gloves when you wash dishes or are in contact with strong chemicals.

Go to Walgreen's or another pharmacy and buy this product. Appearex. It is a vitamin called Biotin. I had a nail on one of my fingers that had a split in it. My doctor recommended to use this. It seems to be working.

Peel off all your mom's fresh new garlic continuous for 7 days, if it doesn't work, try keeping short nails.

it may be that youre not getting enough protein in your diet. i would try nail hardener things (like those mentioned by the people above me) but also try getting more protein.

the easiest way is eating jello-o more often! its yummy and will help your nails grow better. no joke!
