This is for a research paper I am doing. Also, I am asking for people to answer with violent gaming experience (i.e. Halo, Doom, Half-Life, Grand Theft Auto, etc.)- not for just an opinion. Thanks.

I'm 33 years old, I have been playing video games for as long as I can remember.
I have played Doom, Halflife etc and no they did not make me feel more aggressive. I think the reason for this is that I knew that it was not "real" violence and that my parents did a pretty good job in teaching me right from wrong from an early age.
I'm a successful engineer for a fortune 500 company, with a happy family. I still play video games, but I have moved on to MMORPG's (Everquest, Dark Age Of Camelot, WOW).

Do I feel more aggressive ? No. I feel more relieved, I get all the aggressiveness out of me ... Anyways, the "violent" games I play are mainly shooters: Rainbow Six, Battlefield 2, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Timesplitters and all them good games ...

no, i've found that Halo and GTA games calm me down. I find it a useful outlet for my aggression. on a similar note we actually tried to play violent video games before a water polo game (very aggressive sport) and it didn't seem to affect us either way.

not really. but whenever my bro gets off of playing halo [2] hes more aggressive

i actually feel more relaxed, killing and destroying virtual property lets you take out your anger/boredom in a way that won't actually cause anyone harm.
