Remember.. it is NOT just Cond. Rice who is aginst stopping the war in Lebanon.. it is the U.S. Government. It is a very very wise move because SANE people.. educated people KNOW that stopping the war NOW would mean it would be continued at a later date... the terrorists there WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER give in to the Jews so why stop now and give them time to regroup before they strike again.. the best solution is to go ALL THE WAY... The Lebanese Government is solely at fault for allowing the terrorists to use their country as a staging area.

So, wait, are you saying the US should get involved and stop what is going on in Lebanon? Who do you think would get killed then??? And, if the US did get involved, do you realize Iran and Syria would hop right in there and start fighting too? By NOT getting involved we are saving lives. But, hey -- if YOU want to go over there, knock yourself out.

It's called self defense. Israel is going in to take out the terrorists that are trying to topple the government of Israel. What Israel is doing in Lebanon is no different than the U.S. going after the Taliban in Afghanistan.

A ceasefire would only give Hezbollah a chance to regroup. And they wouldn't abide by it anyway. The idea is for the Israelis to keep pounding and wipe out as much of them as they can.
