As we saw this last NBA season there are a great number of teams that are equally capable of winning the championship. With that being said, most GM's realize they don't have to do much tinkering to have a good chance in the 2006/2007 season. Rather than foolishly blow up a roster and ruin team chemistry most teams have just added a role player or two.

Because players like shaq, t-mac, vince carter, and baron davis demanded that their teams trade them and this off-season there aren't any complainers left. The players who are being mentioned in the trade rumors like iverson and garnett haven't been pushing to go to other teams.

Luxury tax is holding everybody back
With the exception of New York who seems to feel that lumping players together without thinking about chemistry will land them a championship
There's just too many damn rules leveling the playing field now

Nobody that big wants to be traded.
They want to be the goto guy there and stay that way.
and if they want it, the franchise will oblige.
so they stay because they want to.
and because there are no strong free agents on the freeagent market.
At least those whose names are not Ben Wallace
